PUBLIC NOTICE FOR WORKSHOP AND PUBLIC HEARING

NSAQMD RULE 318 (AMERICAN VALLEY BURNING RESTRICTIONS)

The Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District will host a public workshop to present, discuss, and receive feedback on the revision of the District’s Rule 318, American Valley Burning. You are encouraged to attend and participate. This proposed rule revision applies to the no burn restrictions in the Quincy area.

The public workshop will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Quincy Library, 445 Jackson St, Quincy, CA. Written comments may be submitted to the District at the workshop or emailed to the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District at office@myairdistrict.com, but must be received before the end of the business day, March 18, 2024.

For further information, the District will conduct a public hearing during the NSAQMD Board of Directors meeting on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at 200 Litton Dr., Suite 317, Grass Valley, CA 95945 and 257 E. Sierra Street, Suite E, Portola, CA to consider adoption of the proposed revised rule. In case of cancellation, the public hearing will be held at the same time and locations on Monday, April 22, 2024.
