SIERRA OZONE SUMMIT June 4th 2008, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Joining together to create regional solutions to address ozone pollution. Hosted by the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District in conjunction with Nevada County Board of Supervisors, City of Grass Valley, City of Nevada City, STAiNC.. Air quality has become an increasingly important issue for the communities of the Sierra Foothills. This one-day conference was an opportunity to learn from experts about the problems of ozone in the Sierra and to understand what can be done to reduce impacts on these communities. Panelists and speakers addressed a variety of topics from economic and health impacts to strategies successfully used elsewhere to address the problems of ozone.
